Once you set them on the rack, the icing will set and harden. ❓ How Do You Get Sprinkles To Stick To Donuts? The icing on the doughnuts acts as a perfect kind of glue for the sprinkles. After you dip your donuts and let the excess icing fall off, place them onto a wire rack. Immediately add your sprinkles before the icing can fully set. ❓ What Do Donuts Go Well With? Coffee is a common beverage to serve with donuts because the bitterness balances out the sweetness in the doughnuts. However, they pair well with a variety of foods, whether sweet or savory.
