Jump to RecipeThis quick and easy how to make roasted garlic walk-through will have you adding roasted garlic to all your dishes! Roasted garlic is a simple pleasure and is super easy to do!
How To Make Roasted Garlic This how to shows you exactly how quick and simple roasting garlic is…snip the tops, drizzle with olive oil and roast them in the oven. To get started, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and select a baking dish that will fit how many garlic bulbs you would like to roast. On occasion, I roast only a single garlic bulb and use a small porcelain bowl that is OK in oven temps up to 350 degrees. Other times, I simply throw a garlic bulb or cloves in when I am roasting vegetables…so, you are definitely not restricted to doing this only one way! You can use scissors to snip the ends off (as I did in the video) or cut the tops off with a knife. Place the garlic, with the cut tops facing upward, in a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Place in your preheated oven and allow them to roast for 30-35 minutes, or until they are golden brown on the top and slightly bubbling from the oil and juices. Let the roasted garlic cool enough to handle for immediate use, or let them cool to room temperature and refrigerate any unused portions. *Want to know how to use your roasted garlic? Add it to any recipe, just up the amount of raw garlic that any recipe calls for (ie. 4 cloves vs 2 cloves raw garlic)!
