Born July 17, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois, Jeremih Felton, known professikonally as simply Jeremih, was signed to Def Jam Records in February 2009 the same day after meeting and performing for CEO Russell Simmons. He achieved instant success, earning two double platinum, one platinum, and two gold singles from his two albums. His self-titled debut CD hit number one on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album chart in 2009. His second CD, All About You in 2010,  peaked at number eight.

Jeremih has received two Billboard Music Awards nominations, and he’s also been nominated for an American Music Award and a NAACP Image Award.
