đŞ How To Make Mummy Dogs
These mummy dogs are the perfect opportunity to let your creativity shine! All you need is a knife, baking sheet, and cutting board!
This makes 10 mummy dogs. Nutritional information is calculated for 1 dog per person, but we often eat 2!
- Preheat. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).Roll out crescent rolls. Pull out 8 ounces of crescent roll dough (1 can). If using pre-scored crescent rolls, roll them out and tear them at the perforation (making 4 rectangles). If using a sheet of crescent rolls, unroll it and cut it into 4 rectangles.Cut the dough. With kitchen shears or a knife, cut each of the rectangles of dough into 10 thin strips. You should have 40 strips of dough.Slice the cheese. Cut the 2½ cheese slices into quarters (and the last half slice into two halves).Wrap the hotdogs. Stack a slice of cheese on top of each of the 10 hot dogs. Then, wrap them up with the thin dough strips, crisscrossing to look like a wrapped mummy. The dough can be stretched slightly to cover the entire hotdog.Leave an opening for eyes. Leave space between the dough bandages to add a face or eyes to your mummy, if desired. (*See note).Spray with cooking spray. Place the mummy hotdogs cheese-side-down on an ungreased baking sheet and spray the dough lightly with cooking spray.Bake. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 13-17 minutes, or until the dough is golden-brown. Remove from heat, add candy eyes, and serve with your favorite condiments.
Serve your mummies with some ketchup and mustard on the side for dipping! If you like trying different sauces, homemade ranch or cheese dip are always a hit with the kids. Enjoy!
