How To Make Chinese Beef Meatballs To get started you will need ground beef, Panko, garlic, sesame oil, ground ginger, an egg, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and any garnish desired ( I used sesame seeds and sliced green onions ). You may also want to scale the recipe up or down, depending on how many people you are serving and the size that your meatballs will be. While making the meatballs and sauce, preheat your oven to 400 ÂşF ( 205 ÂşC ) and grease your baking sheet or line it with parchment paper. For the Chinese Beef Meatballs, combine beef, Panko, garlic, sesame seed oil, ground ginger, and egg in a medium to a large mixing bowl. Make sure that the ingredients are thoroughly combined, then shape into 1" round balls and place them on your baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake the meatballs for 10 minutes or until the outside is browned and the inside is no longer pink. The internal temperature of your beef meatballs should be 160 ÂşF ( 71.1 ÂşC ) as read by a digital meat thermometer, per foodsafety.gov guidelines. Make the Hoisin Ginger Sauce Combine the Hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and ground ginger in a small bowl and set aside until the meatballs are done baking. Serve your Chinese Beef Meatballs by either dipping them into the Hoisin Ginger Sauce, plating and drizzling the sauce over them, or by placing them in a bowl or container and covering them with the sauce ( stir them in gently to avoid breaking the meatballs ).
