This will go a long way toward earning enough points for award redemptions — though most of the Alila hotels come in at a fairly reasonable reward category. Note that nine of the above properties also fall into Category 4 or lower, making them eligible for the free night certificates offered to holders of the World of Hyatt Credit Card.Note that Alila is also part of Hyatt’s ongoing promotion that offers members 2,000 bonus points on their first qualifying stay at new brands (up to 8,000 points total). Another piece of good news: these hotels are another of the (4) brands to try in order to earn a free night at Hyatt (must be completed by December 31, 2019). See privacy policy.Overall ImpressionMost of these hotels come in at a relatively inexpensive category, which means you can stretch those Hyatt points pretty far. One big exception is the Ventana Big Sur, a hotel that I’ve been eyeing enviously for years, though cash rates are always $700+ and well outside my wallet range. At just 30,000 points per night, that has the potential to be an incredible value, especially if you can take advantage of Hyatt’s generous elite status program.All in all, this is a good development for the relatively small (geographic footprint-wise) Hyatt brand, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with next.
